Other than having fantastic travel companions, I f Other than having fantastic travel companions, I find the best part of traveling for me is the design inspiration- which comes at you from every direction in Mexico City.  Walking around the city you will notice the shade canopy and the wide boulevards for pedestrians, the beautiful architectural styles, the vibrant colors, and thousands of little power lines running every which way connecting the past and present through thin black continual lines. One of the most inspirational spaces is of course Casa Azul- the saturated colors, the lush interior courtyard, and the chance to walk through what was once a home was such a special experience- simple furnishings surrounded by colorfully accented walls, painted wooden floors, and collections of trinkets and treasures. An artist’s space that reminds  what design can and should be- personal, collected, and unique.  It’s definitely a city I would recommend and cannot wait to go back to explore more.
